Guidance, Strength, and Endurance inspired ECU Campus Recreation & Wellness' 25th Annual Polar Bear Plunge, one of their largest and most anticipated events. In response to a challenging year, ECU CRW aimed for this milestone plunge to be both bold and enjoyable while prioritizing safety. The event invites ECU students to take the exhilarating plunge into an icy pool during the heart of winter, with participants receiving a complimentary long-sleeve t-shirt as a memento.

The design for this year’s event encapsulates its many elements. Within the silhouette of a polar bear, you’ll find a night sky, participants braving the cold, water and ice, and the iconic arches of ECU’s cupola, which also evoke the front facade of the Eakins Student Recreation Center. This ethereal, mystical polar bear represents the guidance, strength, and endurance we’ve sought throughout the past year, capturing the spirit and resilience of the ECU community.
